just dont

i dont remember saying goodbye to hannah. i dont remember being in the picture that summer. i dont remember being alive my first year. i dont remember the time i was crying as an infant and my brother told my dad that i wanted milk and once my dad gave it to me, i stopped crying. i dont remember talking in my sleep...often. i dont remember my bad dreams as a child. i dont remember falling off the bed. i dont remember why we got so bad. sometimes i dont remember how i was before you. i dont remember when i whined. i dont remember the first time i met her parents. i dont remember their divorce. i dont remember my life before the divorce. i dont really remember ever living with my mom and dad together. i dont remember a time when my mom ever had custody of us. i definitely do not remember the blue house that erik and dad talk about so often. I dont remember all of our old neighbors or the school erik went to. i dont remember what i did during the days erik was at school and i was still too young. i dont remember when i first met my mom now. i dont remember the meal she first made me my brother and dad at her condo. i dont remember the last time that i washed my car. i dont remember when gas prices were 'cheap'. i dont remember last thing i may have said to my mom or my dad. i dont remember what i was doing this time yesterday. sometimes, i just dont remember.

I actually DO remember when gas prices were cheap. When I got my license, gas was $1.81 a gallon. Now it's almost twice that back in Michigan. It'd be cool if everyone could switch to alternate fuel, but I don't know how long that will take... A long time I feel. I don't remember a time when it was cheaper than that because I didn't care. When you don't drive, you hear people talking about such things, but it never really matters until it's coming out of YOUR paycheck. Weird.

Its funny you should mention talking in one's sleep. Just a few days ago, I was in my friends dorm and I noticed his roommate was sleeping. It was around 2PM so I assume he had a tiring night. But apparently he must've been dreaming and he started to mumble. My friend and I, ignored this and just kept whispering. But when we stopped talking, we noticed that my pals roommate appeared to be incorporating our conversation topic into his dream!
